Money in the Bank 2014 Rumors: Updated Plans On Second Ladder Match For PPV [VIDEO]

It was revealed on Tuesday that the WWE is adding a second Money in the Bank Ladder Match to the card on Jun 29 and while details remain sketchy on the match, there may not be any qualification matches to get into it.

Triple H sat down with Michael Cole on Wednesday for an interview and he didn't declare who is in the match yet aside from Seth Rollins, who announced the creation of the second ladder match with a contract good for a title shot within the next year up for grabs on Tuesday's Main Event.

This move was made because Daniel Bryan's neck injury is healing slower than anticipated and the WWE had to cancel his planned Stretcher Match with Kane and put the belt on the line in a Ladder Match featuring Alberto Del Rio, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Cesaro, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns and John Cena instead.

With those seven guys going for the title, the WWE opted to create another Ladder Match in order to have a storyline where the winner carries the contract around for a while as a threat to the champion, whomever it may be coming out of the pay-per-view.

Triple H intimated in his interview with Cole that Superstars may not need to qualify for the second Ladder Match as they did in the first aside from Orton, who was handed the spot in the first match by Triple H much like Rollins was handed a spot in the second match.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the participants in the second Ladder Match will be finalized on Monday's episode of RAW in Washington, D.C. in what will be the last telecast before the pay-per-view, but there may not be qualification matches on the show.

It was initially reported that there would be a series of qualification matches this Monday to see who will get into the match, but the field could very well be revealed in a different manner.

The reason the WWE opted to announce the second match on Main Event instead of RAW was because Reigns won a battle royal on RAW to get into the title match and there were Superstars in the battle royal that are slated to be in the second Ladder Match.

One name that is very likely to be in the second Ladder Match is Dean Ambrose as he is feuding with Rollins and the second match is expected to be made up of up-and-coming Superstars with the winner carrying around the briefcase following the pay-per-view to pose a threat to the champion.

The only other match on the card besides the two Ladder Matches so far is a Tag Team Titles bout between the champion Usos and challengers Erick Rowan & Luke Harper.

WWE Money in the Bank airs live Sunday June 29 from the TD Garden in Boston.
