Ivy League Harvard earned its first NCAA tournament victory Thursday night with a 68-62 upset of No. 3 seed New Mexico. The win that shocked many and may have busted brackets across the country gained the attention of many notable alumnus.

"America, we are sorry for messing up your brackets and also your financial system and everything else," tweeted the jokesters at the Harvard Lampoon. Jeremy Lin, the first and only player in Harvard basketball history to reach the NBA tweeted: 

"YYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!! HARVARD winssss!!! hahahahhah i told you," shortly after the victory.

The school known more for academics and producing U.S. presidents, Supreme Court justices and Nobel Prize winners boosts a basketball program with a 20-9 record this season. The Crimson will advance to face No. 6 Arizona in the West Region in their next matchup.

"This is the No. 1 moment in my career," said Harvard senior Christian Webster, who finished with 11 points. "The thought came to mind that this could be the last game. We showed a lot of toughness, just persevering."
