"We have to cover, have two against one, be fast and reduce the spaces on the pitch - do not let [Neymar] play," Marquez said to Globo. "It was a good win [against Cameroon] and very important. Against Brazil, it will surely be a very difficult game. We know the talent of Neymar, Oscar, Hulk but we will train in ways to handle them."

In league play, Neymar played like a man well above his years. He ran roughsod over the Primera Division for Barcelona, netting nine goals and eight assists in 26 games, while attempting 68 shots.

His star has grown worldwide; players such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo may have him outranked on the pitch, but Neymar’s jersey is the hottest seller in this Cup according to Forbes.com. Forbes reported that in the four days prior to the World Cup kicking off, sales of Neymar jerseys shot up 200 percent, while Brazil jerseys in general are flying off shelves faster than those of any other side.

He didn’t disappoint those eager to see him play in Brazil’s opener, a 3-1 win over Croatia. Neymar found the back of the net twice, and fired four shots on goal while also recording an assist.
