Two clubs in the Eastern Conference of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the Houston Dynamo and Sporting Kansas City. The first-division clash scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET will be held at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston and can be live streamed here.
One of MLS's greatest rivalries will be renewed when Sporting Kansas City visits BBVA Compass Stadium this evening. The two sides have met in each of the last three postseasons, with SKC coming out victorious in the previous chapter. If the Dynamo are to have any chance in avoiding a repeat result, the club will have to rectify its back-line woes.
"There aren't any defenders missing. Tally [Hall's] here, Kofi [Sarkodie's] here, Corey [Ashe's] here, I'm here, and we're not playing the way we should be," center-back David Horst told MLSsoccer.com over the phone (via Darrell Lovell). "It doesn't matter at the end of the day that we're not getting goals, we're not having possession. The defense has to show up every single game and we haven't," he added.
"I'll raise my hand and say, 'Hey, our fault and we haven't played the way we should.'"
"We need to pick up our game in the back, and once that happens the rest of the team will start picking up their games and we'll start rolling again."
Will the Dynamo be able to do just that against Sporting Kansas City? Tell us @SportsWN
