Two nations looking to return to form will do battle today in an international friendly between Colombia and Jordan. The Colombian World Cup tune-up scheduled for 7 p.m. ET will be held at Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti in Buenos Aires and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on beIN Sports en Español.
With the World Cup less than a week away, Colombia's preparations are reaching its end. For head coach Nestor Lorenzo, the friendly with Jordan will serve as an opportunity to give a majority of the 23 men on his roster the opportunity to compete.
"In the World Cup, we will try to find a balance between attacking and defending. Against Jordan, we will try to use a majority of our substitutions to give minutes to players who need the rhythm of competition," Lorenzo said (via Vanguardia).
"We are doing good, with a lot of energy and ambitions to do everything well. [Our group stage opponent], Greece, has a vertical attack. They play with only one striker. The question is: How do we neutralize them and counter."
