England's preparations for the World Cup have taken the national team to South Beach. Adjusting to the weather in Miami will allow the Three Lions to better acclimate themselves with the Brazilian heat. It's a process, one head coach Roy Hodgson controls and one he's fully concentrated on.

"We are focusing on what it is possible to do. We are taking the simple approach if we play well and our players play to the very, very best and if we get the rub of the green, we believe we can have a very good world cup," Hodgson said in a press conference (via BBC). "But our concentration is on the process and the things we can control," he added.

"Who knows if we will have good world cup, but we are determined to take every measure to make sure we have a good World Cup."

Tactical Preview

Player to Watch: Ecuador's Enner Valencia enjoyed a stellar 2014 Clausura campaign with Pachuca. In 23 appearances with the club, the 24-year-old scored 18 goals and created 13 chances for his teammates. Despite a smaller build, Valencia has the technique to hold up the ball and allow his midfield to push forward, but it's his pace on the counterattack that will be vital if Ecuador are to impress against England this afternoon.

Ecuador's Projected Lineup (4-4-2): Banguera; Ayovi, Guagua, Erazo, Paredes; Montero, Castillo, Noboa, Valencia; Valencia, Rojas

England's Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Foster; Shaw, Smalling, Jones, Milner; Lampard, Wilshire; Rooney, Barkley, Chamberlain; Lambert
