Two clubs in opposite conferences of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the Colorado Rapids and Houston Dynamo. The first-division clash scheduled for 8 p.m. ET will be held at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Denver and can be live streamed free through the Univision Deportes mobile app.
World Cup call ups, injuries, suspensions, you name it, it's been plaguing the 2014 Houston Dynamo season. The club has been forced to play players out of position and carry less than a full 18-man team in each of the last four games. Rather than find a quick fix, club president Chris Canetti is asking for a more patient approach.
"I think when you're facing challenging times like we are you have to take a step back, put your emotion aside and evaluate the situation in a practical matter and make sure you make prudent decisions going forward," Canetti told MLSsoccer.com Tuesday.
"We're in a challenging time right now [and] that's what we're doing; we're trying to assess the situation with practicality and put together a game plan to make sure we can fix it," he added.
"We're going to try and survive the short-term and get those guys [Ricardo Clark, Brad Davis and Boniek Garcia] back and see what we can do when we have them."
