After a poor showing against Turkey on Thursday, the Honduras national team returns to action tonight, looking to rectify their mistakes. Head coach Luis Fernando Suarez admits that some of his players need to elevate their play if the team has any hopes of having a respectable showing at the 2014 World Cup.
"I think there was two games [on Thursday]. [There was] one in the first half where we had great movement of the ball and chances, but didn't have the enough force to finish them. The second half was different and we couldn't take advantage of the constant turnover the Turkish national had," Suarez said (via MLS's official website).
"I was left with a great taste in my mouth after the first half, but I admit that there is a lot of work to be done to address the errors in the second half," he added.
"There are various [players] who need to elevate their level [of play]."
