Despite a plethora of talent at his disposal, German national team head coach Joachim Loew is hesitant to risk a few of his first-team players in Sunday's friendly with Cameroon. For Loew, minimizing said risk remains a priority.
"We don't want to take any risks with Philipp Lahm and Manuel Neuer, [so they will not play]," said Loew (via NDTV Sports). "Marcel Schmelzer and Bastian Schweinsteiger should be available, and I'll try and make the most of the substitutions," he added.
When asked about the opportunities the Cameroon friendly provided him, Loew added, "It's an important opportunity for me to learn a few things, both tactically and also about individual players."
