WWE Rumors and Spoilers: The Shield Breaking Up? Dean Ambrose Refers To Reigns and Rollins As 'Former Partners' In WWE Magazine [VIDEO]

The newest issue of WWE Magazine has a Q&A session with Shield member Dean Ambrose where he refers to Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins as his "former partners" in what may be a major spoiler for future storylines in the company.

Daniel Bryan Returning To Face Kane at Money in the Bank?

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, one of the questions posed to Ambrose was about which WWE Superstars make him laugh and he answered by referring to Rollins and Reigns as his former partners despite the fact that the trio is still together on current WWE broadcasts.

"My former partners, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns," Ambrose told the magazine. "I was probably the class clown of the group so I'd usually start the joking and ribbing. But those two are hilarious. Daniel Bryan is funny too but more because he's funny looking"

Bill Goldberg 'Not Pining' A Return To The WWE

It was rumored around WrestleMania time that the trio might split up and have a triple threat match in New Orleans, however at the urging of The New Age Outlaws, the group was kept together and turned face to take on them and Kane in a six-man tag match at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The WWE noticed how over the group was getting as freshly turned babyfaces and opted to keep them together and engage them in a feud with Evolution while they often go toe-to-toe with The Wyatt Family as well.

There have always been rumors that the group will eventually be split up, with Reigns as the likely candidate to get a monster babyface push upon the split. There were reports that Reigns may have a huge high-profile match against Triple H at August's SummerSlam.

It's unknown at this time if Ambrose's comments were taken out of context or if he spoiled a major storyline plan for the WWE as The Shield has always been rumored to break apart at some point.

It's been a trying time for WWE Magazine as the publication also potentially spoiled the return of Chris Jericho in June by saying that he would be involved in a Money in the Bank ladder match at that pay-per-view on June 29 in Boston.

At this time the future of The Shield is unknown, but it is likely that a split could be coming for the group very soon.
