Two clubs in the Eastern Conference of MLS will do battle today in a league match between Sporting Kansas City and the New York Red Bulls. The first-division clash scheduled for 8 p.m. ET will be held at Sporting Park in Kansas City and can be live streamed here free.

Both clubs enter tonight's match looking to rebound after failing to a claim a victory at the weekend. A 2-1 loss to the Portland Timbers extended New York's winless streak to three matches. A late equalizer forced Sporting Kansas City to exit BMO Field with just a point. The club also carries the added insult of a rash of injuries, forcing head coach Peter Vermes to duct tape together a respectable starting XI.

For Vermes, the daily battle with his injury report is costing the club points.

"The different lineup we have to put out there, Chance goes down early, all the decisions that not only we have to make on the sideline, but more importantly, the guys have to deal with," Vermes said in his post-match press conference (via MLS's official website).

"Unfortunately, at the end, we got a little unlucky [against Toronto FC]. We could have done better with both goals, actually, and maybe that's just a little bit of inexperience," he added.

"But at the end of the day, based on what we're dealing with, that was a very, very good performance and I'm actually very proud of the guys."

Vermes will need a better performance if Kansas City is to hold serve at home tonight.

Tactical Preview

Player to Watch: New York's Chris Duvall made his first MLS start in last Saturday's loss to the Timbers. The 22-year-old went 90 minutes, taking 53 touches and completing 73 percent of his passes. Given Kosuke Kimura's struggles at right-back this season, Duvall proved to be an answer for head coach Mike Petke and could be a long-term solution for the Red Bulls.

Sporting Kansas City's Projected Lineup (4-3-3): Kronberg; Juliao, Collin, Ellis, Sinovic; Nagamura, Martinez, Feilhaber; Toni, Dwyer, Zizzo.

New York Red Bulls' Projected Lineup (4-4-2): Robles; Convey, Armando, Olave, Duvall; Alexander, McCarty, Luyindula, Sam; Wright-Phillips, Henry.
