Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Triple H are now a happily married couple, but given a young McMahon's first impression of "The Game," that may have never happened. McMahon revealed in a recent interview that her first impression of Triple H was that he was gay with Shawn Michaels when the two were members of D-Generation X.
Ric Flair Returning To WWE Television Soon
According to The Mirror in the U.K., McMahon said in a fan live chat alongside Hulk Hogan that when she first laid eyes on Triple H when she was in college, she thought perhaps he and Michaels were more than just partners in the ring.
"My first impression of Triple H... Well, I was in college watching DX on Monday Night RAW and I have to say that, um, I was very intrigued with DX," she explained to the fans. "And I actually did wonder if -- I'm going to get so killed for this, maybe I won't say it -- I wondered if Triple H and Shawn didn't have more than a friendship going on. No, they were so much fun. Anyway, as soon as I met the man I obviously fell in love with him and it was love at first sight."
Sting WWE Deal 'Not Imminent' Anymore
McMahon and Triple H have three daughters together, so the memories back to the original DX run in 1997 are all but distant. Still, it was an interesting comment considering McMahon and Triple H will be the two people running the No. 1 wrestling promotion in the world for years to come.
Aside from the interesting tidbit on her future husband, McMahon also told the fans they'll have to wait and see if she'll return to the ring to wrestle Brie Bella, discussed getting inspired by the fans, The Ultimate Warrior, her kids working for WWE in the future and the chances of WrestleMania taking place in the United Kingdom.
Hogan talked about being on the tour, called John Cena his favorite wrestler, spoke about his future in movies, The Warrior and the possibility of being WWE Champion again.

It was an interesting interview to say the least, and back in 1997 no one would have blamed McMahon for thinking that way of Triple H:
