Two clubs in the Western Conference of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the Los Angeles Galaxy and FC Dallas. The first-division clash scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET will be held at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles and can be live streamed here.
Context is required to absorb this fact—after all, the club has played in fewer games than any MLS team—but the fact remains, the Los Angeles Galaxy are at the bottom of the Western Conference standings. Just don't tell that to head coach Bruce Arena. The former U.S. men's national team head coach believes his side belong and will ultimately be at the top (h/t to Scott French on MLS's official website). "I think we should be undefeated," Arena said.
"I'm not saying all wins, but we shouldn't have any marks in the loss column. We've actually played much better than our record indicates, but that's nobody's fault but our own," he added.
"I'll leave it at that. We have plenty of time to demonstrate that we're a team that belongs at the top of the table, not at the bottom."
