Boston police are on the hunt for the tattoo artist who performed the honors on Aaron Hernandez's right forearm, insisting the artist could provide significant clues regarding the 2012 double homicide the former NFL star was formally charged with earlier this month.
According to TMZ Sports, the Suffolk County district attorney's office recently released a statement where investigators announced they are "seeking assistance" from anyone who has done work on the 24-year-old former New England Patriots tight end's right arm.

TMZ adds authorities describe the tats in question as "specific" works they suspect the former Patriots star had completed sometime between February of 2012 and June of last year, adding they believe the drawings are some sort of ode to the role Hernandez allegedly played in the drive-by shooting deaths of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.
Hernandez has been jailed without bail at the Bristol County Jail and confined to solitary confinement since last June on first-degree murder charges in the execution-style killing of one-time associate Odin Lloyd. Investigators have speculated the 27-year-old Lloyd may have been killed because of his knowledge about other violent crimes Hernandez is suspected of having taken part in.

Since being jailed, Hernandez has also been charged with threatening to kill a prison guard and his family and was also briefly housed in an even more secluded area of the prison after he savagely attacked another inmate while the man was still handcuffed.
