TMZ Sports obtained a police report and posted photos taken during what it described as a "heated exchange." Click on the link above to see the photos at TMZ.
A 28-year-old woman filed the police report with the Morristown, N.J., police department, according to TMZ Sports, indicating that she was at the outdoor bar at Pazzo Pazzo restaurant on Wednesday when the incident with Thurman started.
She said in the police report that the 58-year-old Thurman started to hit on her and offered to buy her drinks. She indicated that she made herself clear that she was not interested.

Her refusal is what touched off the altercation, she claims. According to the police report, Thurman "showed an aggressive demeanor toward her" and then "out of nowhere, Thurman slapped her across the face."
The first of the two photos that TMZ Sports obtained shows Thurman pulling his left arm toward his body - TMZ Sports speculated that the photo "appears to show Thurman following through after the alleged slap."
The second photo shows the woman flipping off Thurman just before the alleged slap - which would contradict the "out of nowhere" comment. She then reported that Thurman threw his hands up in the air and left the scene.
Thurman became the Jets defensive coordinator in 2013, after spending four years as an assistant for New York. He played in the NFL from 1978-86. All but his final year was spent with the Dallas Cowboys.
His bio on the New York Jets official website indicates the he has two daughters but does not mention a wife.
The Jets did not return TMZ's messages for a comment,
