The Texans walked away with nothing but Tom Savage and Ryan Fitzpatrick as viable options at quarterback after the draft and Andre Johnson isn't happy about it. Johnson didn’t directly say he was unhappy with the direction of the Texans, but did say he wasn’t sure if there was still a place for him in Houston.
Now the Texans can use all the help they can get in the passing attack and Johnson is still a top tier receiver all things considered. With DeAndre Hopkins going into his second year and no other developed talent on the roster, the Texans might have to tough it out with Johnson.
If Johnson were to be on the trade market, rumors are that he would be have many suitors at a price of a first round pick. Johnson doesn't have much left in the tank at the level he is accustomed to, but he could play a part on a team in need of receiver help. Teams that come to mind are the Panthers and Chiefs, but would they be willing to part with the first round selection?
While there have been no talks of the Texans dealing Johnson, if he starts to be more vocal in his desires to leave the Texans, Houston might have no choice but to give him what he desires. This is the first real test Bill O’Brien will face as head coach of the Texans.
