Updating a story from Sports World News and multiple other media outlets, Roger Mason Jr. has spoke again about his earlier comments about LeBron James boycotting the NBA if Donald Sterling is still an owner.
Mason took to Twitter to clarify his statement, in which he seemed very sure of his comments and left nothing for interpretation
Jim Rome is a good guy and I may not have been clear when I responded to his question, so let me clear it up.

Jim asked me about guys playing next season if Sterling remained an owner. I mentioned I spoke to LBJ as I speak to many players. — Roger Mason Jr (@MoneyMase) May 14, 2014
My bad if I was not clear.LBJ never said anything about boycotting. He's a friend and I would never want to imply something he didn't say — Roger Mason Jr (@MoneyMase) May 14, 2014
The bottom line is that our commissioner, team owners, fans, players, and the world all agree that there is no place for racism in our league. — Roger Mason Jr (@MoneyMase) May 14, 2014
This statement by Mason is a complete 180 from where his stance was concerning James and the Sterlings, but he claims there was a misunderstanding. Mason’s stance on what James said to him when the two spoke seemed to be pretty straight forward and had no room for error, but apparently that isn’t the case at all.
Lesson of the day is don’t believe the top player in a a sport is planning on boycotting the league he plays in without asking the player himself.
