WWE Payback 2014 Rumors [VIDEO]: Batista Update, Possible Matches For June Pay-Per-View

There has been a lot of speculation regarding Batista and the WWE's Payback pay-per-view, and the latest news is that "The Animal" isn't being advertised for the event but he will likely be a part of it.

Sheamus Joining Evolution?

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Batista isn't being advertised for any upcoming television tapings including the Payback event on June 1 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, but he is expected to work up until the event and appear in a match at Payback before taking a hiatus.

Batista is slated to take some time off to promote his upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie before returning prior to the SummerSlam pay-per-view in August. The current plans for Payback are to have either Batista, Triple H and Orton take on The Shield in a rematch from Extreme Rules in a six-man tag team match or to have members of Evolution take on The Shield in a series of one-on-one matches.

Source Denies Batista Turning Down Match With Daniel Bryan

There were rumors going around that Batista turned down working with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan because he didn't want to lose to a smaller opponent twice in a row before his hiatus, however a source close to "The Animal" denied the speculation.

There are also reports that Adam Rose will make his WWE in-ring debut at Payback and that he will likely be taking on Jack Swagger. The WWE is reportedly saving his in-ring debut for the event because it feels that a market like Chicago will be into his character.

Other reports for the Payback card have indicated that Bryan will be defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Kane in a Buried Alive match while Bray Wyatt and John Cena will continue their feud into the June event but nothing has been confirmed.

It remains to be seen how the final card will shakeout, however Payback goes live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago on June 1.
