Two clubs in opposite halves of the Premier League table will do battle today in a league match between Tottenham and Aston Villa. The first-division clash scheduled for 10 a.m. ET will be held at White Hart Lane in London and can be live streamed here free.
With another frustrating season coming to a close for Tottenham, manager Tim Sherwood has bemoaned his treatment at the club in anticipation of his exit. The 45-year-old was vocal about the uncertainty surrounding his position (h/t to the Guardian). "I am doing this job with a lot of uncertainty around my future," Sherwood said. "If you have a supply teacher who comes into your school, sometimes they are not treated with the respect that a headmaster is."
"If I need any information, I am better off asking the players. Sandro [Raniere] obviously has a knowledge of what is going on. I wish I knew. I don't know if the chairman has spoken to Sandro, but obviously somebody has told him [that I will leave at the end of the season]," he added.
"The players look a lot at the speculation and it begins to be more than that. I have had a lot of players come to me and say to me: 'Our agents have told us you are not going to be here next year.' It's a very difficult situation."
"I just have to wait to see the chairman [next week] and see what the future holds. We have already discussed pre-season and I have given a list of players to the chairman and [the technical director] Franco Baldini of the players I would recommend we keep, the ones I recommend we leave and the ones I recommend we bring in."
"I am not sure how we are getting on with that list. Until I speak to him, they have not given me any indication on how they are moving forward with that."
