Former NFL quarterback Kordell Stewart's ex-wife is apologizing for an emotionally charged sermon she gave at the High Praise Christian Ministries Center in Georgia three years ago as a then self-professed evangelical preacher where she ranted against gays and lesbians.
Though she insists footage from the video made public this week was "not shown in its entirety," the now Real Housewives of Atlanta reality show star maintains she is remorseful.
"I woke up this morning disturbed and I felt that my heart was heavy and it was imperative for me to address the issue at hand," Williams, jailed late last month on battery charges after attacking castmate Kenya Moore during an on-air, reunion show taping, told RadarOnline.com.
"First let me say that God loves all of his children and although some people discriminate against others because of their race, their religion, their sexual orientation, their status in life, that we're all worthy of God's love," Williams, later added.
Yet, in the same breath, the 31-year-old reality TV star who Stewart divorced earlier this year without granting any alimony or assets, continued to voice her still somewhat mixed message.
Did Porsha Williams cheat on Kordell Stewart?
"The sermon that was shown was shown not in its entirety," she said. "Therefore the message was omitted. I apologize that those words hurt the LGBT community, my fans and my supporters. Life is a journey and I'm growing every day and I continue to encourage everyone to love each other unconditionally."
