Golden State Warriors News: Stephen Curry Wants Coach Mark Jackson Back Next Season

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has one wish for next season and that is to see his coach Mark Jackson running training camp.

After the Warriors lost Game 7 to the LA Clippers on Saturday night, ending their 2013-14 campaign, the All-Star guard told CSN Sports: "I'm ready to come to training camp next year with coach Jackson at the helm."

There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Jackson, and CEO Joe Lacob has not made any firm commitment about retaining the services of the coach. While Jackson has led the Warriors to back-to-back playoff appearances, rumors are abuzz that he will be replaced eventually.

But fortunately for Jackson, he has one ally in the locker room, and arguably the franchise's lone superstar at that. Said Curry: "We're not the ones making decisions. We came into this season thinking this was a long-term situation. But, obviously, (Jackson has) been having to answer these questions all year."

Curry also appeared confident that Jackson will be back next season when he was asked if he thought he had played his final game under his coach. "I don't think we have," he said. "I don't think most of the guys in the locker room do, as well. I'll just leave it at that."

Even Clippers coach Doc Rivers paid tribute to his adversary, saying after the game: ""Mark Jackson is a terrific coach. They had injuries, and he got his guys to compete."
