Floyd Mayweather Jr. Next Fight: Shantel Jackson Responds To Abortion Accusations, Dating Rapper Nelly? [PHOTO]

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is set to take on Marcos Maidana on Saturday at MGM Grand, but he looks distracted for possibly the first time in his career. Just as fight night draws closest, a scandal involving his ex-fiancee Shantel Jackson involving abortion has become a burgeoning social media controversy.

Mayweather rage-posted a photo of a sonogram belonging to Jackson that showed twins, then broke the news that the real reason for their break up was Jackson's decision to abort the two babies.

"The real reason me and Shantel Christine Jackson @missjackson broke up was because she got a abortion, and I'm totally against killing babies. She killed our twin babies," Floyd posted on Facebook before eventually deleting it.

Jackson responded on Instagram with a charged message of her own. "Well...with that type of behavior I guess you just gave up on owning that NBA team huh? LOL #childish #growup @NBA"

Rumors are now swirling that Mayweather's anger stems from a budding relationship between her and rapper Nelly, whom Mayweather considers a friend.

All this news will not help Mayweather stay undefeated against the Argentine Maidana, a powerful puncher who enters the fight as a big underdog. Despite long odds, Mayweather's shown a healthy respect for him as an opponent.

Maidana earned his title shot by defeating Mayweather's protégé Adrien "The Problem" Broner, flooring the young star twice. It was the first time in Broner's career he ever tasted the canvas. While Broner possesses top-level hand speed and employs Mayweather's famed shoulder roll, he was no match for Maidana's power and aggression.

His one-punch KO power is what lends legitimacy to this matchup, and Floyd's acknowledged the risk he presents. "Everything isn't about speed," Mayweather said.

"Everything in boxing and life is about timing. I'm a fighter that likes to take my time and be smart. Some fighters like to be reckless. You see what happens when fighters are reckless."
