Aaron Hernandez has been indicted for attacking a fellow inmate last February, an act that landed him in an even more secluded area of solitary confinement in the Bristol County House of Correction.
ESPN reports the former New England Patriots tight end has also been charged with threatening to kill a jail guard in November after the officer reported him for allegedly stealing food from other prisoners.

Authorities identify Hernandez's fight victim as Andrew Booker, adding the former NFL star punched him in the face as he was being transported from the prison's infirmary after the two had earlier argued. Throughout prison officials' investigation, the man refused to cooperate.
Hernandez has now been jailed since June 2013 in the execution style killing of one-time associate Odin Lloyd. The 27-year old Lloyd's bullet-riddled body was found not far from Hernandez's North Attleborough mansion that same month and police have since speculated he may have been killed because he had knowledge of Hernandez's alleged involvement in other violent crimes.

Police have also intimated the 24-year-old Hernandez is a suspect in a still unsolved 2012 drive-by, double slaying outside a downtown bar in Boston. Investigators have noted Hernandez and several of his acquaintances are seen on video-surveillance in the same bar as the victims and he is believed to have been the triggerman.
