Two clubs chasing UEFA Europa League glory will do battle today in a cup match between Valencia and Sevilla. The semifinal clash scheduled for 3:05 p.m. ET will be held at the Mestalla Stadium in Valencia and can be live streamed here free.
Valencia are embarking on familiar territory. The Spanish outfit was able to overturn a 3-0 deficit against FC Basel in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League. Now, manager Juan Antonio Pizzi must once again find the correct formula to complete the great escape and lead his men to the final in Turin (h/t to UEFA's official website). "You didn't need to watch the game Sevilla lost in Bilbao to see they are vulnerable," said Pizzi.
"If we had been more accurate in the first leg, we could have scored in Seville. We can overcome the first-leg loss," he added.
"I'm not looking to defeat Valencia; I'm looking to guide Sevilla through to the final. I've played a semifinal before, with Valencia in the [2011/12] Europa League, but I lost to Atlético. I have another chance now with Sevilla."
"We are all in a good place, close to something extraordinary,"
