Eagles: McCoy Endorses Vick for Starting QB Position

Eagles star running back LeSean McCoy has endorsed Michael Vick as the frontrunner in the Eagles search for a starting quarterback on Thursday. "I think Michael Vick is the starting quarterback," McCoy said in an interview with NJ.com.

"People forget -- this is Michael Vick," McCoy said. "He's got a lot to prove this year, but he's ready to roll. He knows people are questioning if he can get it done, and he's gonna prove this year he can."

McCoy puts his faith in Vick after recently working out with the former Eagles starter. Vick is currently competing for the starting role against second-year QB Nick Foles, as well as Dennis Dixon, who started for new-Eagles head coach Chip Kelly while at the University of Oregon.

Last season, the Eagles went 4-12, with both Vick and Foles seeing action. Vick began the season with a 3-5 record before suffering a concussion in against the Cowboys in November. Foles went 1-5 as a starter, before being replaced by Vick for the Eagles season finale against the Giants.
