The Lakers continued their pursuit of a .500 record and a playoff seed with a 116-94 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday. Los Angeles was led by another big game from their future Hall of Fame guard, Kobe Bryant.
Bryant led all Lakers with 33 points, while contributing in multiple ways with five rebounds, five assists and two steals. Thursday night's win marks the 21st consecutive win for the Lakers over Minnesota, a streak dating back to March 6, 2007.
Los Angeles (29-30) currently sits in the ninth seed of the Western Conference looking from the outside of a playoff birth. The Lakers have won 12 of 17 and five of seven, moving two games behind Houston for the eight and final playoff spot.
Minnesota (20-35) continues their struggles with Thursday night's loss. The Timberwolves sit in the twelfth seed and trail Houston by nine games for a potential playoff seed.
