WWE released a fictional health update on Daniel Bryan's status after getting brutally attacked by Kane on Raw at the direction of Stephanie McMahon. The backstage reason for the assault that saw Bryan take three Tombstone piledrivers from Kane was to write off the WWE champion from last night's SmackDown tapings and live events this coming weekend following the sudden real-life death of Daniel Bryan's father.
Regarding Daniel Bryan's storyline-driven injury, WWE stated that Bryan had "residual weakness in his arms" after taking all of those Tombstones, but they "expect this to clear up relatively quickly." WWE's Dr. Amman then said, "Once he regains his full strength, he will be fully cleared for participation." (credit: PWTorch.com)

So how much time will Daniel Bryan miss as a result of his father's death? With next week being the Raw and SmackDown go home shows before Extreme Rules and since Bryan already recently took some time off for his wedding to Brie Bella, Bryan will be back in time for next week's TV shows.
The storyline attack by Kane was a perfect way to give Bryan a week to get everything in order and be with his family, and I am glad that WWE is giving him the time off that he needs after such a tragic loss.

Getting back to the Daniel Bryan vs. Kane storyline as we move towards WWE Extreme Rules, the big ticket item to continue this feud next week is that Stephanie McMahon will apologize for Kane's attack that she orchestrated.
For some reason, I doubt Stephanie's sincerity when her character she is sorry to anyone these days, especially Bryan.
