Julius Randle declares for draft, Kentucky star most NBA ready prospect in the class? [VIDEO]

Freshman star Julius Randle will enter the 2014 NBA draft, announcing on Tuesday he will forego his last three years of eligibility at Kentucky after " a lot of prayer."

"I've been blessed and fortunate to be put in a position to have decisions," Randle told the SportingNews.com. "A big decision for me is whether to declare for the NBA draft or not. Talking with my family, I'm deciding to declare for the NBA draft."

Freshmen stars to dominate NBA draft

The 6-foot-9, 250 pound Randle is widely considered one of the most physically imposing and NBA ready players in college, leading the Wildcats to within a game of this month's national championship. The 19-year-old native Texan averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds in his one season in Kentucky.

"This season, this year, the more I think about it, it went by fast," Randle told the SportingNews. "I'm definitely going to miss it. Kentucky will always have a special place in my heart, but growing up as a kid it's always been my dream to play in the NBA and there's no better opportunity for me to achieve that goal than now."

Andrew Wiggins to Roc Nation?

Randle joins fellow freshman Wildcat star James Young in already having declared for the June 26 draft, while twin teammates Aaron and Andrew Harrison are said to still be weighing their options.
