TNA news and rumors: Forget Hulk Hogan and Sting to WWE; TNA locking up current stars to new contracts, cuts joining Jeff Jarrett?

Hulk Hogan may be back in WWE and Sting may or may not sign a WWE contract, but over the past few weeks TNA Impact Wrestling has actually been trying to lock up at least some of their own talent to new deals.

The same couldn't always be said for Dixie Carter and company, as the seemingly cash-strapped TNA has let a lot of high-profile talent like Hogan (and his daughter Brooke Hogan), Sting, AJ Styles, Eric Bischoff and others walk away since last year. Let's look at the rundown at who has new TNA contracts and who might be able to join Jeff Jarrett's new promotion Global Force Wrestling.

The good news for TNA Impact Wrestling fans is that Dixie Carter has finally put at least some of her money where her mouth is, signing James Storm, Rockstar Spud, Gunner and Robbie E to new deals, according to several reports.

Of course, TNA backstage news is never 100 percent positive, and while it's great to see TNA re-sign some of their talent, rumors are also circulating that Chris Sabin and Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) could be done for good with the company.

The biggest shock to the system was when TNA Wrestling said goodbye to AJ Styles, mainly because Styles was a TNA Original and the actual face of the company for it's ten-year existence. Perhaps TNA has learned from that mistake with the recent contracts they have signed and renewed, or maybe they are feeling the pressure from Jeff Jarrett's new promotion Global Force Wrestling and Ring of Honor.

As for talents like Chris Sabin and Bad Influence, that is a real shame if they aren't welcomed back to Impact Wrestling, especially since all three have been TNA mainstays for years.

However, we could also see them on the Indy circuit and just maybe Jeff Jarrett has already called them to talk jumping over to GFW.

The Journey begins.
