Two clubs chasing Copa Libertadores glory will do battle today in a knockout match between The Strongest and Defensor Sporting. The Round of 16 clash scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET will be held at the Estadio Hernando Siles. Information on how to watch and stream the match live can be found here.
With a club name like Defensor Sporting, it should come as no surprise that manager Fernando Curutchet is shaping his tactics very cautiously ahead of today's cup match with The Strongest (h/t to La Razon). "They are looking to do damage from the opening whistle," Curutchet said. "We have to be very organized on the pitch, reduce the open space and take advantage of the pace our attackers have," he added.
Even goalkeeper Daniel Vaca is aware of the challenges his club faces tonight.
"It's going to be a complicated game for us, but nothing is impossible," he said. "We want to keep making history. We have to win and by a good aggregate and keep a clean sheet."
