John Cena heel turn: Hulk Hogan calls for Cena to become bad guy? [VIDEO]

Should John Cena turn heel? If you ask Hulk Hogan, the best time for Cena to turn back on his fans would be now.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked if he sees the younger guys like Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt headlining future Wrestlemanias five to ten years from now. Hogan, however, said he feels that Cena's time as a main even draw is not yet over and suggested that the leader of Cenation take on a path he once took back in 1996.

"Well, John Cena is definitely not done, brother, and to me, he's at the perfect time to pull a "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan on everybody. If he was to switch and take that hustle, loyalty and respect and tell everybody how he was running game on everybody the whole time, he'd have another ten years wide open without even looking back. So maybe in five years, it's John Cena running the game on everybody."

Cena is considered by many as today's version of Hogan, being popular among the younger audience and preferring to 'stand for what is right.' It can be remembered that Hulk Hogan shocked the wrestling world in 1996 when he joined forces with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash during the Bash at the Beach PPV of the World Championship Wrestling (WCW). It was a shocking turn of events for the Hulkster, who had never been a heel throughout his career. But it also proved to be a wise move for Hogan as he became a bigger star, leading the WCW to trump the WWE in the ratings game for a couple of years in the mid to late-'90s.
