Minnesota Timberwolves veteran forward Dante Cunningham faces felony domestic abuse charges and is being held on $40,000 bond following a skirmish with his live-in girlfriend earlier this week.
The Hennepin County attorney's office reports the 26-year-old, reserve forward will make his first court appearance Monday morning, by which time he is expected to have bonded out.
Cunningham allegedly attacked the woman at his Medina home early Thursday morning, just hours after he scored five points and grabbed three rebounds in 10 minutes of action during the T-Wolves 102-88 win over Memphis.
According to the Pioneer Press, the criminal complaint states Cunningham and the woman began dating last summer and had been living together for the last eight months.
On the morning in question, the alleged victim reports the two got into an argument and Cunningham began choking her after he kicked in the door to a bedroom she had locked herself in. He reportedly then grabbed her by the neck, causing her to lose her breathe, before slamming her against the wall.

Police said he returned to the home about 15 minutes later and was arrested without incident. Cunningham was not with the Wolves when they traveled to Miami on Friday.
