LeBron James a rapper? 'King' throws down verse on Jay Z beat; April Fools joke or serious attempt? [VIDEO]

It may be April Fools, but LeBron James is 100 percent serious as he released a rap cover of Jay Z’s “F***withMeYouKnowIGotIt” off of his Magna Carta Holy Grail album.

The track titled “Kingdom” pretty much is exactly what you would expect from the NBA’s best player who is fresh off his first two championships. The luxury life, money, cars and being a champion is the theme here. Rumor has it that James never wanted the track to be released but TMZ reports that it did leak (and linked above). James’ friend Sian Cotten told TMZ that he and LeBron went to the studio out of nowhere.

“We were working out together and LeBron said ‘let’s get in the booth.’ I said ‘I’m going tonight,’ so he came to the studio…we were just having fun. ‘Bron had jotted some notes down earlier, and he finished his verse in the studio.”

Let me repeat this is not an April Fool’s joke and this did actually happen. LeBron is still in his physical prime and has the Heat surging toward their third straight NBA Championship, but it looks like he could find himself in the music industry at some point. Hopefully he stays out of the booth and just invests his time and money, but its never a good sigh when you have to establish the track isn't a joke.
