Andrew Wiggins NBA Draft news: Kansas star expected to declare at press conference? [GIFS]

Kansas star Andrew Wiggin’s will make his announcement about where he will play in 2014, today. Although he has yet to hint either way, reports are coming out that he will declare for the NBA Draft.

Wiggins would be the second Kansas Jayhawk to declare for the NBA Draft following teammate and fellow projected top five pick Joel Embiid. Coming into the college basketball season Wiggins was the consensus top player in college and the favorite to be the number one overall pick in the draft.

Wiggins came down to Earth in his freshman season and never really took the role of the dominant player he was advertised as. In his first season he averaged 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, hardly the dominate player he was suppose to be.

Wiggins is still projected to go in the top five and being the top pick isn't out of the question. The player that was once called the “next LeBron” has a long way to go to reclaim that title.
