Two clubs in opposite conferences of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the Seattle Sounders and Columbus Crew. The first-division clash scheduled for 10 p.m. ET will be held at CenturyLink Field in Seattle and can be live streamed here free.
The reshaped Columbus Crew enter today's match undefeated and playing one of the more aesthetic brands in MLS. In just one offseason, newly appointed head coach Gregg Berhalter has created an attacking identity in Columbus (h/t to Andrew King on MLS's official website). "The way we play, we try to set the tone, try to dictate the game, try to get our backs forward. We try to be aggressive," Berhalter said.
"And you'll have that, especially when you turn the ball over in the middle of the field," he added.
"If we want to play like that, which we do, there are going to be mistakes. Things are going to happen, and you're going to open yourself up. But the alternative is to say we're not going to play at all, and we don't want that."
"We want to play, we want to open up, and we want teams to pressure us so we can play out of that pressure."
