Two clubs in the top half of the Liga MX table will do battle today in a league match between Santos Laguna and the Pumas of UNAM. The first-division clash scheduled for 11:30 p.m. ET will be held at the Estadio Corona in Torreón and can be live streamed free through Univision Deportes mobile.
After dispatching Uruguayan outfit Peñarol in the Copa Libertadores midweek, Santos Laguna clinched a berth in the knockout rounds of the tournament. Manager Pedro Caixinha showed his satisfaction following the match (h/t to Silbatazo). "We knew this game was important. I want to congratulate the players because it was the best game we played since I arrived at Santos," Caixinha said.
"This is our game, building it from the back with a lot of patience to create spaces and allow everyone to participate," he added.
"We are very good in that regard and everything turned out in our favor."
