Tonight at 8:40 p.m. ET, No. 8 Memphis (24-9, 12-6 AAC) and No. 1 Virginia (29-6, 16-2 ACC) tip off live from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C. as part of the NCAA March Madness tournament in Round 3 action of the Eastern bracket. The game can be live streamed for free here and also viewed on TNT. Memphis fans can hear all of the action on 600 WREC while Viriginia fans can do the same on WBBT 107.3.
Viriginia has gotten contributions from up and down the lineup, but Joe Harris and Malcolm Brogdon have stepped up to help lead the way.
"Not having a go-to guy and still having success means everybody's contributing, everybody's playing a major role," Brogdon said Saturday, according to ESPN. "And I think that's really been the key to our success. We don't heavily rely on any one person."
Brogdon leads the team with an average of 12.6 points per game as Virginia is one win away from tying the school records for victories in one season while it also earned its first top seed since 1983.
Virigina coach Tony Bennett is glad to have two prolific scorers in Brogdon and Harris.
"It just makes the defense not be able to stack the deck as they did at times last year against Joe,"Bennett told ESPN. "And that's made us, I think, a little more potent offensively at different times."
The Tigers are coming off of topping No. 9 George Washington 71-66 on Friday night to advance. Memphis has been led by Joe Jackson, who averages 14.3 points per game.
"We've got senior guards and they have to match up with us as well," coach Josh Pastner said per ESPN. "And I know that's something that they'll have to prepare for, just like we have to prepare for them and their perimeter guys."
March Madness continues when Viriginia and Memphis take the court tonight in North Carolina.
