Tonight at 7:27 p.m. ET, No. 12 SF Austin (31-2, 18-0 Southland) and No. 5 VCU (26-8, 12-4 A 10) take the court at Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl in San Diego, Calif. for NCAA March Madness tournament Round 2 action in the Southern bracket. The game can be live streamed for free here or viewed on TBS. SF Austin fans can hear all of the action on KTBQ 107.7. while VCU fans can do the same on WBBT 107.3.
Stephen F. Austin has one of the nation's longest winning streaks with 28 straight while Virginia Commonwealth University has won at least 26 games in each of the last five seasons.
SF Austin knows it's not about the 26 wins as it comes down to just one game.
"We feel like this team has achieved a great deal and has a tremendous of confidence going in," SFA coach Brad Underwood said per ESPN. "We know we will have to play well and we'll throw it up, go have some fun and see what happens."
VCU has made it into the bracket for the fourth straight season and have won an NCAA tournament game in the previous two seasons after defying expectations and going to the Final Four in 2011.
Despite being the higher seed, the Rams enter play as the perceived underdog to many people.
"We read the clippings and see what comes on the TV," VCU junior guard Briante Weber told ESPN. "It adds to the fire as us being the underdog. We're going to attack from the get-go and see what happens."
Desmond Haymon (14.3) leads SFA in scoring while Treveon Graham (15.7) paces VCU.
The NCAA March Madness tournament continues as SF Austin and VCU go head-to-head tonight in San Diego.
