NBA veteran Daniel Gibson's estranged wife Keyshia Cole describes one of the lead releases from her sixth album as a ballad about "giving your heart away and allowing somebody to be able to be that close to you where they can hurt you."
FuseTv.com reports the 32-year-old R&B diva adds of the song Next Time "it's about being in a relationship and not wanting to go there again, of course."
Cole later compares the new release to Trust, the popular duet she recorded with Monica that went Top 5 on the R&B charts in 2009. "It's sort of a ballad, like the Trust, but without the extra female," she added. "I actually had Trust on the album before I got a female on it and I ended up throwing her on there. But it's the same process with this one."
After less than three-years of marriage, Gibson and Cole are rumored to be on the outs and perhaps even headed for divorce court amid widespread allegations both may have been unfaithful.
