Indiana freshman Noah Vonleh to join NBA Draft? [VIDEO]

Will Indiana freshman Noah Vonleh declare himself available for this year's NBA Draft?

Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the 6-foot-10 Vonleh is 'strongly leaning toward entering the NBA draft' where he is projected to be drafted between picks number 7 to 12. However, there is also belief that he has the potential to make it big in the NBA despite his performance in college.

Averaging 11 points and 9 rebounds, Vonleh is the Freshman of the Year in the Big Ten Conference. Wojnarowski adds that those close to Vonleh have been talking with some NBA agents regarding the possibility of the freshman joining this year's draft.

"Team executives and agents are under the impression that Vonleh, who had an inflammation in his left foot, sat out two games late in Indiana's regular season largely out of concern for his draft status," the Yahoo report adds.

The same report cited an unnamed general manager who speculated that Vonleh could spend a lot of time in the NBA D-League next year because of his rawness. Still, the same source added: "He's nowhere near ready to play, but there's no doubt he's got great potential, along with very good character."

The 18-year-old could still be developed by his coach, Tom Crean, in Indiana if he decides to stay in college. Crean was able to turn current Orlando Magic freshman Victor Oladipo into a second overall pick despite being a mid-major recruit. However the lure of getting a NBA contract and being drafted as a lottery pick may be difficult for Vonleh to ignore.
