Two clubs in opposite halves of the Premier League table will do battle today in a league match between Hull City and Manchester City. The first-division clash scheduled for 8:45 a.m. ET will be held at KC Stadium in Hull and can be live streamed here free.
Manchester City enter the weekend in dire straits. A 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic—which forced them out of the FA Cup—was followed by an aggregate loss to Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. Playing below expectations pushed City manager Manuel Pellegrini to accuse his players of being a bit too complacent after lifting the Capital One Cup just two weeks ago (h/t to the Telegraph). “I think maybe it was the worst we have played here in a year,” Pellegrini said. “We didn’t have the pace to play against a team that is in a very good moment. We knew before the match we were going to play against a difficult team and maybe we thought it was not so difficult and when we reacted it was too late,” he added.
“We have a lot of things to fight for between now and the end of the season.”
One of those “things” includes a battle for the top of the Premier League table. Manchester City currently sit fourth and nine points behind the leaders, Chelsea. Will the club be able to gain ground with a victory over Hull City later today? Tell us @SportsWN
