Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Washington Capitals (30-26-10, 70 points) and Pittsburgh Penguins (43-17-4, 90 points) hit the ice at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh for the fourth and final meeting against each other this season. Pittsburgh enters play on top of the Eastern Conference while Washington has lost seven straight games to the Penguins.

The Penguins went 3-2-0 on their last road trip and weren't happy with their overall performance.

"We understand that's not going to be a winning formula down the stretch," captain Sidney Crosby said via NHL.com.

Crosby (30-57-87 points) leads the NHL in points and leads the Penguins along with Evgeni Malkin (19-46-65) and Chris Kunitz (31-28-59).

The Capitals are on the outside looking in on the playoffs with 16 games remaining in the season.

"You can't get down this time of the season," forward Eric Fehr said, according to NHL.com. "You've got to stay positive and keep moving forward." 

Alex Ovechkin (44-23-67) leads the NHL in goals and paces the Capitals in points alongside Nicklas Backstrom (13-51-64) and Marcus Johansson (8-30-38).

Jaroslav Halak may start for Washington and is 25-10-4 with a 2.24 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage while Marc-Andre Fleury will likely start for Pittsburgh and is 33-14-3 with a 2.31 GAA and a .961 save percentage.

The Capitals and Penguins play for the final time this season when the lights come up at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.
