CM Punk quits WWE [VIDEO]: Colt Cabana comments on Punk's departure, will he return?

CM Punk hasn't been seen on WWE television since Jan. 26 at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and while it seems as though the 'Best in the World' is done with the WWE, his friend and fellow wrestler Colt Cabana revealed that he is getting a lot of interests from sources outside the WWE.

WWE discussed Punk vs. Bryan vs. Orton vs. Batista for WrestleMania XXX if Punk returned

Cabana said he has received tons of e-mails about Punk and his current situation with WWE by promoters outside of the WWE that are looking to land Punk, and he said he usually lies to the people in the e-mails by saying he has no idea where his good friend is.

"It's a lot," Cabana told the Chicago Tribune when asked how many e-mails he gets. "It's wrestling websites and promoters who want to book him. I ignore a lot of them or just say he's nowhere to be found."

Best WrestleMania moments from 'Manias VI-X

Punk has been "nowhere to be found" on WWE television since he stormed out hours prior to a live Monday Night RAW telecast on Jan. 27 and he hasn't been heard from much since his departure.

Punk has been frustrated with his place on the card and not being able to main event a WrestleMania due to the fact that returning part-timers such as The Rock and Batista return from years away from the company only to headline the biggest show of the year.

Punk was set to face Triple H at WrestleMania XXX on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, however due to his frustration of not being able to main event WrestleMania XXX with his contract expiring in July, Punk walked out and hasn't returned.

A look back at CM Punk's best moments in his WWE career

It was rumored that Punk would be making a comeback on last Monday's RAW from his hometown of Chicago, but he was once again a no-show. With Punk not coming back on that episode, many people believe that he truly is done with the company and not coming back.

The WWE chose not to bury Punk because WWE CEO Vince McMahon likes him personally and is still hoping to bring him back to television. Punk is a big merchandise mover and the WWE has reportedly felt that with all the money they make on the character and all the time they put in to licensing Punk, they're still holding out hope that he will return.

Punk has a lot of outside realms interested in him, but it remains to be seen what the "Best in the World" will do after his contract with WWE expires in July.
