Jameis Winston has Florida State officials scrambling to handle his growing celebrity, according to NFL.com.
FSU coach Jimbo Fisher recently labeled Winston "a natural people person," which could hold good and bad repercussions for the defending-champion Seminoles.
"I don't think there's a blueprint in place," FSU sports information director Kerwin Lonzo told Warchant.com. "I know compliance has had conversations with Texas A&M ...(about) how to maneuver through this situation.
The website adds FSU athletic officials now make it a point to be around Winston during most of his interviews, including recent sitdowns as a member of the Seminole baseball team.
In addition, a uniformed police officer from FSU follows Winston to every road game; when FSU played the New York Yankees in a recent exhibition game, police officers could be observed in the dugout. .
The hard part is when you see people over and over, trying to get multiple things signed," FSU associate athletic director Monk Bonasorte told Warchant. "What we've done is we've made sure that when he signs something, he has to put a name on it. It has to be identified to someone."
