WWE Rumors: Paige Return Date from Neck Surgery Revealed by Alberto Del Rio

Paige is currently on hiatus from the WWE and she is recovering from neck surgery. She has been out of television since June 2016 but her real-life boyfriend and former WWE superstar, Alberto Del Rio, revealed her possible return date.

In an interview with Busted Open Radio with Dave LaGreca and Larry Dallas on Tuesday, Del Rio was asked about any updates on Paige's recovery from neck surgery. He told the hosts that her fiancé is undergoing physical therapy and she will return to the WWE very soon.

"I'm 100% sure that she'll be the most successful female wrestler of all time. She just needs to get well and she'll be back in the ring around April or May, I don't know, when the doctors have their final decision," Del Rio said.

Paige underwent surgery in October 2016 after getting suspended twice for violating the WWE's Wellness Policy. There were also some WWE rumors implying that she was forcing her way out of the company to be with Del Rio, who was released in September.

However, it seems like Paige and the WWE are in good terms because of the new movie the company is going to produce along with The Rock's Seven Bucks Productions. According to Wrestling Inc, WWE Films, Seven Bucks Productions and Film 4 will team up to release a film on Paige and her family.

The 24-year-old WWE superstar is part of the Knight family of wrestling from Norwich, England. She started wrestling at the age of 13 years old for several independent promotions in Europe. She was signed by the WWE in 2011 at 19 years old.

Paige went on to become the first-ever NXT women's champion at developmental. She made her main roster debut after WrestleMania XXX wherein she defeated AJ Lee to win the Divas championship. She is a two-time Divas champion despite her young age.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Paige revealed that she would love to try mixed martial arts after her career is over. It should be noted that Del Rio is the president of the MMA promotion Combate Americas.
