Boston Red Sox Rumors: Tom Brady Spends A Day At Fenway, Takes Swings Off MLB Legend [VIDEO]

Baseball season is officially underway, and the players and fans are rounding in to form as the second week of the season starts. Despite having already played half a dozen games, some teams were still enjoying their home openers on Monday. One such team was the Boston Red Sox, and they celebrated by hosting a fan favorite from another local team.

Tom Brady was out at Fenway for the home opener, and he got the royal treatment that one would expect for a Boston sports legend. According to TMZ, he was able to take some swings in the cage before the game, and - to the surprise of many - Brady hits left-handed. Also, the pitcher for his batting practice session was Red Sox legend and MLB Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez.

Of course, that was not all that Brady had going on yesterday. He also walked out to throw the ceremonial first pitch. He took the field with Bill Belichick, Robert Kraft, and Johnathon Kraft, and each was carrying one of New England's four Super Bowl trophies.

Brady's pitch, however, left a little to be desired. Big Papi was kneeling behind the plate to receive Brady's offering, which bounced in the dirt.

Brady was a respected baseball player in high school, and he was taken by the Montreal Expos in the 1995 draft. In the long run, he probably made the right call by choosing to play quarterback at Michigan.
