"If you can't take the heat, get out of the chicken."
A roast special can be brutal, which is what NFL and New England Patriots legend Tom Brady subjected himself to through a Netflix special.
"The Roast of Tom Brady" premiered on May 5. It featured the seven-time Super Bowl winner, and boy, what a roast that was.
Brady received jokes about his involvement in the "deflategate," getting dumped by Gisele Bundchen, leaving another pregnant woman pregnant, relationship with Bill Belichick, and more.

All of the jokes during the roast were brutal and controversial on their own terms, but there's one joke that some people did not find funny.
Shayanna Jenkins, the fiancée of former Patriot Aaron Hernandez, took offense at the joke dropped by comedian Nikki Glaser.
She took it up a notch when she referenced Hernandez's manner of death while introducing Randy Moss.
"Give it up for zero-time Super Bowl champion Randy Moss! Why don't you have a ring? What the hell, man, you're one of the best ever. Drew Bledsoe has a ring. Aaron Hernandez had a ring...around his neck," she said onstage.
Brady seemed unbothered by it, saying, "The bar for a Patriots tight end was pretty low back then. Block. Catch. Don't murder."
While those who were part of the event chuckled and found the joke savage, some of those who were not "in the kitchen" reacted differently.
Hernandez's former fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins, thought the joke was cruel.
She felt sick about the joke for their daughter.
"It's sad that I'm trying to raise my children in such a cruel world," Jenkins said in an interview with TMZ a day after "The Roast of Tom Brady" aired.
Jenkins and Hernandez have a daughter who is now 11 years old.
What happened to Aaron Hernandez?
Hernandez was the Patriots' 113th overall pick in the 2010 draft.
He was among the significant prospects of his class, but his stocks dropped because of his off-the-field troubles, including shooting and multiple altercations in bars.
The Patriots still drafted him, although he never established a good relationship with teammates, including Brady, who branded him "a lot to handle."
He played a total of three seasons for the Patriots.
His most damning legal trouble was his alleged involvement in the murder of his friend Odin Lloyd whose body was found near his residence.
Hernandez maintained his innocence, but the Patriots released him during the investigation.
He was indicted in August 2013, although he pleaded not guilty. He was found guilty of murder by April 2015, with the authorities not being able to establish any motives on his part.
The team released him, and he voided the remaining salary he was supposed to get, leading to massive financial losses. His endorsements were also gone, and all the products with his NIL were removed from official stores.
While in prison, Hernandez was followed by hardships, including unsavory relationships with correctional officers.
The good thing that came out of it was he was able to fix his relationship with his estranged mother. He also kept working in anticipation of an NFL comeback.
He was still alive when he was acquitted of the murder charges, and his prisonmates even described him as generous, giving away his food and some items to them.
They said there were no signs he was about to do something tragic.
By April 19, 2017, he was found dead inside his cell. It was ruled a suicide by hanging.
He was 27.
