With next Wednesday's NHL trade deadline rapidly approaching, teams have a week to decide what their next moves will be and speculation has continued to heat up about potential trades. Three of the biggest names involved in trade rumors are New York Rangers captain Ryan Callahan, Tampa Bay Lightning forward Martin St. Louis and Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller.

There were rumors that the Rangers and Lightning were looking to swap captains, but the reports have apparently been refuted by the Lightning, though there is no guarantee that either man will be with his team after the deadline.

The Rangers and Callahan remain far apart on negotiations as Callahan wants a seven-year deal worth $6.75 million while the Rangers are looking to give him somewhere in the neighborhood of five years for $6 million.

RYAN CALLAHAN, MARTIN ST. LOUIS DEAL DEAD?

Callahan, due to be an unrestricted free agent come season's end, may be dealt out of town if the Rangers can't sign him by the deadline as the team would like to get something back for him rather than risk potentially losing their captain in July through free agency for nothing.

According to TSN, Callahan, 28, has a 99 percent guarantee of being traded before the NHL trade deadline next week.

Callahan, who often risks injury with his style of play that calls for him to block shots and kill penalties, has missed some time due to injuries this season and has 24 points through 42 games for the Rangers this season off of 11 goals and 13 assists.

It has been rumored that Miller, who has played between the pipes with Buffalo for his entire career, may also be on the move.

RYAN MILLER'S DAYS IN BUFFALO NUMBERED?

Sabres general manager Tim Murray has said that the team is "open for business" regarding trade talks and that the 33-year-old franchise goaltender could be on the move. Murray said that it's been relatively quiet so far but Miller has generated some interest.

"I know that we've had more than two teams call us about him," Murray said per NHL.com. "I don't know if they're kicking tires or if they're serious but there has been interest from more than two teams, less than 10 teams. Are they all serious? I don't know that. I can't answer that."

Miller is 15-22-3 through 40 games for the Sabres with a 2.72 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage.

It remains to be seen what moves will be done between now and next week's NHL trade deadline, but these three players appear as though they may be on the move.
