Worst call of the year.

This was how Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim described the controversial charging foul called on C.J. Fair with 10.4 seconds left in the game that basically sealed the 66-60 win for Duke on Saturday night.

"I just thought that was the worst call of the year, that's all. I just hate to see the game decided on that call." said Boeheim as quoted by ESPN.com.

Duke was nursing a two-point lead when Fair drove to the basket. Duke's Rodney Hood met him just under the basket, but official Tony Greene called the charging foul ruling that Hood established position first.

This prompted Boeheim to protest the call, running into the court to relay his message to Greene. He was ejected because of this. Said the Syracuse coach on the ejection: ""I've only been thrown out once in my life and that was an exhibition game."

The ejection caused Syracuse to surrender four free-throw attempts to Duke, with Quinn Cook burying three of them. Tyler Thornton added two more free throws to seal the 66-60 triumph. It was the second straight loss for Syracuse after a record 25-0 start. Syracuse now trails Virginia for the first spot in the ACC.

Boeheim said he has no regrets about his actions that led to the ejection. "That was the game-decider right there. I would have been happy with a no-call, let the players finish the game and see what happens. But it was a great game, tremendously well officiated game, I just disagree with that last call."
