Scottie Pippen countersues fans he knocked out after using 'N-word' racial slur [VIDEO]

NBA Hall of Famer and Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen has filed a countersuit against a man who alleges the six-time NBA champion attacked him outside upscale Nobu restaurant last year.

According to CBSSports.com the 48-year-old Pippen filed suit last Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court against Camran Shafighi. In the suit that seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages, Pippen alleges assault, battery, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress and civil rights violations.

More specifically, Pippen alleges that Shafighi called him the "N" word in front of his wife, Larsa, and their children, and that he also spat on him and other family members.

The incident took place last June 23, and both sides vastly differ as to what actually took place. The suit further alleges as Pippen's brother-in-law tried to intervene and calm Shafighi down, the plaintiff continued screaming the "N" word and added "I'm going to kill you."

Shafighi allegedly then pushed Pippen's brother-in-law, but the plaintiff's momentum caused him to "stumble, trip and fall," at the same time. While on the ground, he kicked Pippen several times, including in the groin area, the suit further claims.

"Mr. Pippen was completely caught off guard with Mr. Shafighi's resort to physical violence," the countersuit states. 'Mr. Pippen instinctively protected himself by lifting his leg up to block Mr. Shafighi's kicks."

Shafighi started the litigation with his lawsuit filed last July 11. He alleges he was the subject of a "brutal and unjustified physical attack" that in
